About David

Market research is the art of understanding how people think and feel. Since 1994, David has helped organizations understand the behaviours and attitudes that shape the decisions of their customers and clients. These insights have helped organizational leaders develop both high-level strategy and on-the-ground tactical executions.

David started his career as a consultant at The Research Department Incorporated, eventually serving as Vice President and head researcher. David worked with a wide range of organizations including the Nova Scotia Government, Halifax Regional Municipality, Bell Aliant, Eastlink, The Property Valuation Services Corporation (Formerly Service Nova Scotia & Municipal Relations), Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, Atlantic Lottery Corporation, Ben’s Bread, Atlantic Superstore, Workers Compensation Board, WTCC, Vancouver Hospital, Capital Health, Ontario Ministry of Finance, Northwood and many others. David then joined Eastlink as the Director of National Research. He has been involved in helping the organization understand the ever-changing landscape of modern telecommunications and entertainment. His guidance has played a role in hundreds of decisions as the organization navigated through the digital and wireless revolution, and as television shifted from traditional prime time viewing to ‘on-demand’. He played a key role in the successful launch of many new product categories like Wireless, and Smart Home.

David is an extremely savvy data analyst, and has years of experience working with survey data, client databases and other data sources. His experience ranges from basic analysis such as frequencies and crosstabs to advanced statistics methods such as regression and conjoint analysis.
