Steve is an optimistic entrepreneur, naturally born connector, consultant, and real estate developer. With thirty-plus years of experience in specialized business consulting and real estate development, Steve’s success stems from his positive outlook, focus on results, and fierce commitment to his clients.
In 1995, Steve founded the Dunne Group, which has now grown to a firm of ten specialized consultants. With a diverse portfolio, the firm is retained by national publicly traded companies for consulting work in eastern Canada and Atlantic-based organizations with consulting needs in air travel, hospitality, public safety, regulated fuel pricing, public relations and Government relations.
Founded in 1995, Dunne Properties co-owns and manages a PEI portfolio of 16 separate developments valued at $65 million. Approximately a third of the portfolio is multi-unit residential properties, with the balance in commercial property.
Steve is committed to lifelong learning and community development, and actively volunteers in his community, serving as past President of Downtown Charlottetown Inc., past member of the PEI Business Continuity Group, a fundraising member of the Saint Dunstan’s Church Bell restoration project, past secretary of the Board of Directors for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation, and past manager and director with Habitat for Humanity PEI. Outside of work, Steve enjoys being active, playing golf, travelling with his wife Joanne, and spending time with his two adult children.
