East Coast Credit Union is seeking a Full-time Credit Analyst, Business Services to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Business Services, the Credit Analyst, Business Services plays a key role in supporting the Business Services team with entering financial data, conducting thorough credit, risk, financial and security analysis of credit requests, and compiling essential information for credit applications. The incumbent assists the team with various administrative tasks and initiatives while ensuring superior service to our business members.

- Support the Business Account Managers in the analysis, origination, and monitoring of business loans, ensuring compliance with East Coast Credit Union lending policies and procedures. Provide input and feedback on streamlining processes to enhance efficiencies and deliver superior service to our members.
- In collaboration with Business Account Managers, assist in assessing applicants’ credit worthiness by analyzing financial status, credit history, existing account performance, business income earning, and security evaluation to determine feasibility of granting credit or renewing existing products.
- Conduct thorough analysis of collateral valuation, financial statements, projections, cost estimates, as well as environmental and industry factors in support of credit requests, including but not limited to new requests, refinance requests and annual reviews of large loans or lines of credit.
- Collaborate with Business Account Managers to complete annual reviews and risk management objectives for the Commercial Portfolio.
- Update debt balances and credit details for member and related borrower(s) and adjust security valuations as needed.
- Obtain miscellaneous reports such as credit bureau reports, property online reports, and PPSA reports and comment on your observations where appropriate.
- Follow up for insurance confirmation, insurance renewals and property tax confirmations.
- Prepare and submit various reports as needed including monthly Margining Reports.
- Support community initiatives through volunteering and attending events and activities on behalf of the Credit Union.
You have…
- Successfully completed a Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience preferably in business/commercial banking in a financial institution; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience working with Financial Statements and analysis along with credit assessment with a willingness to continuously learn and develop knowledge.
- A solid understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, rental evaluation, and other pertinent financial information.
