Rakesh Kochhar is COO of Sydney Credit Union and a director on the board of League Data. Over 30 years in Canadian financial services, including retail banking and wealth management roles with Merrill Lynch and Assante Wealth Management, he spent five years consulting in the energy and mining sector before joining Sydney Credit Union in 2017. His mandate at SCU is broad, and he is currently leading SCU’s AI Powered Digital Workplace Transformation, guided by a people-before-technology philosophy — putting method before tools — in keeping with cooperative principles. A graduate of Acadia University, Rakesh is a father of two who enjoys reading, hiking, travelling, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his grandson, Hudson.
